Egyptian President visits Kingdom to discuss regional developments

Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz met in Riyadh today with visiting President of Egypt Muhammad Hosni Mubarak. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the Middle East region, especially the Palestinian issue, the Israeli occupation forces' aggression against the unarmed Palestinian people, with killing, displacement, and destruction of facilities; and the need to grant the Palestinian people their legitimate rights to set up an independent state on their national land with Al-Quds [East Jerusalem] as its capital. They also reviewed the developments in the region and their effects on its security and stability, notably the situation in Iraq; and expressed their concern for Iraq's unity and territorial integrity and the importance of giving a chance to diplomatic action to save the region and the world from a war that will lead to human catastrophes.
