Crown Prince Abdullah, Prince Nayef meet Palestinian prime minister

Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard, received today visiting Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qurie, who conveyed to him greetings from President Yasser Arafat, and with whom he discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and the Islamic world, particularly the Palestinian issue.  The Palestinian issue focused on Israel's invasion of Palestinian cities and villages, killing of the Palestinian citizens, demolishing of houses and imposing of curfew on the Palestinian cities and camps.  They also stressed the necessity that the world community stop Israel's aggressions and seriously pursue a just peace based on international legitimacy.

Earlier, Prime Minister Qurie also held talks with Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Interior Minister and the General Supervisor of the Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Palestinian People. In their meeting, Prince Naif stressed that the Kingdom's support for the Palestinian people embodies the fraternal ties and historical links between the two brotherly peoples and comes in line with the Kingdom's humanitarian role towards anyone in need.  Prime Minister Qurie expressed the appreciation of the Palestinian leadership and people for the Kingdom's stand and its good efforts to support the Palestinian people, alleviate their sufferings and meet their humanitarian needs while they have been subject to repeated Israeli aggression.
