Kingdom extends food aid to Palestine and Afghanistan

Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, in his capacity as supervisor of the Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Afghan people has ordered the shipment of 100 tons of dates from King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam to Karachi in Pakistan, for distribution to needy Afghans.

Meanwhile, distribution has begun in Palestine of food aid provided by the Saudi Committee for Supporting Alquds Intifada. The 200,000 food baskets, which cost U.S. $ 6 million, are being equally divided between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
