Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General, arrived in Amman this evening to convey his greetings and those of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard, to Prince Abdullah bin Al-Hussein, on his appointment as Crown Prince of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

At a press conference on his arrival, Prince Sultan referred to current relations between Saudi Arabia and Jordan as excellent, and hoped these relations would continue in a fraternal and brotherly atmosphere.

In response to a question on Saudi Arabia's position towards Iraq, Prince Sultan stated that Iraq is a fraternal brother, adding: "We wish Iraq right direction."
