An edible oil factory with an annual capacity of 700,000 tons of soybean oil is to be established at the King Fahd Industrial Port in Yanbu by the Asr Al-Budoor Company. In addition to soybeans, sesame and sunflower will also be processed. The factory, expected to be operational within two years, could save the Kingdom some SR 1 billion [U.S. $267 million] over the next 20 years.
