STC continues to reduce telephone charges

The Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC) has announced fresh cuts in international telephone charges to 16 Arab countries effective July 1. The new dialing charges, working out at less than one U.S. dollar per minute, apply to Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Algeria, Djibouti, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Comoro Islands, Palestine, Somalia, Tunisia, Lebanon, Syria, Mauritania and Morocco. Since its incorporation, Saudi Telecom has reduced charges by around 60 percent, for Internet service as well as phone calls, both mobile and fixed.
