Kingdom sends aid to Palestinians in need

Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, who is also general supervisor of the Saudi Committee for Support of the Al-Quds Intifadah, has directed that just under SR 10 million [about U.S. $ 2.5 million] be disbursed for the implementation of a number of charitable projects in the occupied Palestinian territories, and that 200,000 blankets be dispatched to those in need in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Prince Nayef made an appeal urging continued support for the Palestinians, who are facing the toughest circumstances ever in their history due to the killings, displacements and imposition of starvation and siege instigated by the occupying Israeli forces.
