Prince Bandar in Los Angeles, praises Saudi-U.S. relations

Ambassador to the United States Prince Bandar bin Sultan addressed the World Affairs Council of Los Angeles today, and spoke of the Kingdom's efforts to fight terrorism, pointing out Saudi Arabia's stability, achievements and progress. Prince Bandar later met with the editorial board of the Los Angeles Times during which he stressed the importance of Saudi-U.S. relations, their mutual interests and fruitful cooperation, and referred to the Kingdom's role in maintaining stable oil supplies for the international market. With respect to local affairs in the Kingdom, Prince Bandar declared that Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz is determined to implement economic, social, political and administration reforms to expand the participation of the private sector, and that these reforms do not contradict with the teachings of Islam.  Prince Bandar also addressed the World Affairs Council of Northern California in San Francisco on September 19.
