A Royal Decree was issued today to establish a field hospital in the devastated earthquake area of Bam, in southeastern Iran.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Ambassador to Iran Dr. Nasser bin Ahmed Al-Braik said that the field hospital will be set up in coordination with the Iranian authorities.  A medical team specializing in disaster from the Saudi Red Crescent Society and the Ministry of Health was dispatched to Bam on Friday.
