Kingdom condemns Gaza attack at UN session

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia presented a statement to the session of the United Nations Security Council yesterday, condemning the savage attacks launched by Israeli forces against civilian targets in occupied Gaza, attacks that resulted in the death of fifteen people, including nine children, in addition to injuring about 176 others, mostly women, old men and children. Such attacks, it said, constitute an unjustifiable act of terrorism.  They provide clear evidence of Israel's intent to destabilize the region and block ongoing efforts to bring about peace and stability. Saudi Arabia deplores and condemns all operations directed against civilian targets, and urges the international community to shoulder its responsibility in this deteriorating situation that threatens to undermine global security. It is vital that Israel be compelled to comply with international agreements and laws, and to end its repressive measures against the Palestinians.
