Kingdom's aid goes to Afghanistan, Africa, and the Balkans

The Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Afghan people has delivered to Afghan Minister of Health Dr. Suheila Sadiqi medical supplies valued at one million U.S. dollars, as part of an ongoing commitment. The supplies will go to the areas of Jalalabad, Mazar Sharif, Herat and Kandahar.


Meanwhile, the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) has been distributing in Ghana large quantities of dates donated by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz. Similar donations have recently gone to Kenya.

Yesterday, the Saudi Joint Committee for the Relief of Kosovo and Chechnya collected a total of SR 35,684,000 [U.S. $ 9,515,700] in donations during the second week of the current month. The Committee has been carrying out relief aid, health, education and construction projects in the Balkans.
