Saudi Arabia and Libya agree to cooperate in various fields

Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal and Dr. Ali Abdul-Salam Al-Turaiki, Secretary of the Libyan General Peoples' Committee for African Unity, signed in Jeddah today an agreement on cooperation in a number of fields between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya. The agreement, Prince Saud said, will open up new avenues for businessmen and help integrate the Arab economy, facilitating cooperation in the areas of economics, trade, investment, technology, culture, youth and agriculture as well as health affairs and the oil and petrochemicals industries. It also encourages educational, scientific and technical cooperation and sets up a joint committee to initiate the necessary steps.
