Prince Saud in U.K. after Arab meeting in Cairo

Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal met in London today with British Prime Minister Tony Blair, to whom he delivered a message from Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz concerning developments in the Middle East. Afterwards, Prince Saud referred to the meeting as positive, saying: "I had the feeling that Blair shares the Kingdom's opinion on the importance of constructive coordinated efforts in order to avoid danger."

Prince Saud arrived in U.K. from Cairo, where he headed the Saudi delegation at the 118th session of the foreign ministers of the League of Arab States, which discussed Israel and nuclear armament, water security in the Arab world, and Arab-African cooperation, among other topics. While in Cairo, Prince Saud held talks with Palestinian minister of planning and international cooperation Dr Nabil Shath.
