Prince Salman addresses urban development conference

Governor of Riyadh Province Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz in Riyadh yesterday addressed a seminar on the future of urban development, and pointed out that it coincides with the 20th anniversary of the accession to the throne of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz. The city, he said, has grown from a few thousand at the beginning of the twentieth century to around four million in the twenty-first. Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Dr. Muhammad Al-Jarallah reported that his ministry is concerned with training a work force that can keep up with developments in the new century. Secretary-General of the Higher Commission for Tourism, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, recounted the Kingdom's achievements under King Fahd's leadership while preserving the country's deep-rooted principles and values.
