Investment symposium opens in Amsterdam

Governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) Prince Abdullah bin Faisal bin Turki opened a symposium in Amsterdam yesterday entitled "Investment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia". In his address, he spoke of the many opportunities in the Kingdom in light of the new regulations regarding foreign investment, and noted that the establishment of the Higher Economic Council (HEC) and the Supreme Council for Petroleum and Minerals (SCPM), in addition to SAGIA, is evidence of the importance the Saudi government attaches to the role of the private sector in economic activities.
