Death of King Abdulaziz' physician

Dr. Medhat Sheikh Al-Ardh passed away this morning, at the age of about one hundred. Dr. Al-Ardh was the personal physician of King Abdulaziz from 1925 until his death in 1952.  He then worked as Minister of State and served as the Kingdom's Ambassador in France, Spain, Libya and Switzerland. Up until 1990, he was Saudi Arabia's permanent representative to the United Nations in Geneva. Funeral rites will be performed at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh after noon prayer tomorrow.
