Saudi Arabia to host first Muslim Olympics

President of Youth Welfare Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz announced in Riyadh today, following the fifth conference of the executive committee of the sports federation for Muslim solidarity, that Saudi Arabia will host the first Olympic Games specifically for Muslim countries in 2005, and the first Muslim equestrian championship in 2003. Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic of Iran will host the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Tournament for Muslim countries in swimming and diving events in 2001. The second and third Muslim Olympics will be hosted by Iran in 2009 and by Syria in 2013.
