Arab follow-up committee on Palestine concludes meeting

Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal headed the Saudi delegation to the Amman meetings of the follow-up committee on the Palestinian crisis of the League of Arab States, which ended today. In a statement, the committee expressed appreciation of the stance of the Kingdom's leadership in defense of the rights of the Palestinian people, and stressed that commitment to the recently-announced cease fire necessitates immediate and complete Israeli withdrawal from the Palestinian territories that had been re-occupied, as well as from all occupied Arab territories to the border line of June 1967. The committee called for an end to Israel's blockade on Palestinian territories, including Al-Quds [Jerusalem], and to all forms of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people; continued support for the Palestinian people and their intifada [uprising]; and  implementation of the resolutions of  the Arab summits in Cairo and Amman.
