Crown Prince Abdullah's interview with 'Financial Times'

Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz recently gave an interview with U.K.'s 'Financial Times', and an article based on it was published on the front page of today's edition. The Crown Prince reiterated the Kingdom's support for all initiatives for peace in the Middle East, pointing out that Saudi Arabia has so far accepted all peace initiatives in the Middle East region regardless of their source, and that the Kingdom has its own peace plan, which was announced by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz and was then named after him. The Kingdom, he said, "has great credibility in all Arab and Islamic countries and may be qualified to convince the parties concerned to sit at a peace-negotiating table; but it cannot play this role or offer this great service as long as Israel continues to abort all peace initiatives."
