Oil minister gives assurance of continued oil supply

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Al-Naimi stated today that Saudi oil supplies have not been affected by recent events in the United States, and that the Kingdom's exports to the United States are stable and in accordance with ordinary programs. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he said, places particular importance to the stability of the international oil market, the provision of supplies on a continuing basis, and cooperation with members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to fill any shortfall that might arise.
