Prince Sultan marks Arab Environment Protection Day

Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, on the occasion of Arab Environment Protection Day on October 14, has stressed the importance of working together to protect the environment from pollution. Noting that in 1986 the League of Arab States set up a council of ministers in charge of environmental affairs in order to shoulder its responsibility in this regard, he reiterated that the Saudi government has always paid great attention to issues pertaining to the environment and has done its best to preserve wildlife. This, he said, stems from adherence to the teachings of Islam.
