Pilgrims from Indonesia arrive in Madinah for 1421 Hajj

The first pilgrimage flight coming directly from an Islamic country for the 1421 Hajj arrived in Madinah today. The Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAA) flight from Surabaya in Indonesia was welcomed at Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Airport by Governor of Madinah Province Prince Miqrin bin Abdulaziz. SAA expects a 14 percent increase in pilgrim traffic this year, with over 252,000 pilgrims transported on 949 flights arriving from 15 locations in the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf, 16 in Asia, 11 in Africa, and 14 in Europe and America. These locations include for the first time Tehran and Shiraz in Iran, Surabaya in Indonesia, and Moshen in India.
