Royal Court issues statement on Doha OIC Summit
The Royal Court has issued the following statement:

"In line with the concern of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the success of Summit meetings and for the attainment of the desired goals of the Organization of the Islamic Conference; in the belief that a suitable climate is needed for this; and in the absence of the conditions that are necessary to enable the OIC Summit to confront the current challenges, in the light of the decisions issued by the recent extraordinary Arab Summit and in view of the deteriorating situation in the occupied Arab territories, notably in the Holy City of Al-Quds [Jerusalem]: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regretfully announces that it will not take part in the upcoming OIC Summit as scheduled, and expresses the hope that more suitable conditions will present themselves to enable the Kingdom to participate in and contribute to such a Summit."
