NCWCD symposium in Riyadh

On behalf of Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, his deputy Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz yesterday opened the second international symposium on 'The economics of renewable natural resources and their preservation in dry regions'. The symposium, organized by the National Commission for Wildlife Conservation and Development (NCWCD), is being attended by a number of specialists from the United States and Great Britain as well as the Arab world. In his speech, Prince Ahmad noted the importance of the issue under discussion, saying that there is a need to find the delicate balance between the achievement of the economic development required for man's prosperity and keeping the environment and its renewable natural resources in a state that allows man to maintain the quality of his existing standard of living.
