Kingdom addresses South Summit of Group-77 in Havana

In a speech presented today on his behalf by Assistant Foreign Minister Dr. Nizar Obaid Madani, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz addressed the Group of 77 plus China which is currently meeting in Havana, Cuba.  King Fahd urged the participants to concentrate on fruitful cooperation among themselves, and between the North and the South, and to give greater concern to economic and social development. He urged the international community to adopt stable, timely, comprehensive and multi-faceted steps in order to accelerate development and eliminate famine, illiteracy, disease and poverty; and to establish international economic relations on the basis of justice, equality, exchange of interests, and the mutual responsibilities of both developing and advanced nations.
