New private girls' college opens

Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz yesterday inaugurated the new private-sector Dar-Al-Hikma College for Girls in Jeddah. In his address, Governor of Makkah Province Prince Abdulmajeed Bin Abdul Aziz recalled last year's Royal Decree endorsing plans to establish private colleges to supplement the services provided by the government's educational institutions, saying the private sector had responded positively and swiftly, and several such colleges have since been opened. The Dar-Al-Hikma College for Girls is one of four private establishments now operating in different parts of the Kingdom, together with the Iffat College for Girls in Jeddah, the Prince Sultan National College in Riyadh, and the Prince Sultan College for Tourism and Hotels.
