The King Abdul Aziz House will hold the first Saudi Heritage Market at the King Abdul Aziz Historic Center

in Riyadh from September 19 through 26. The market, or souq, will feature models of the weekly markets

that have traditionally been held in the various parts of the Kingdom. The event, reflecting the

organization's concern to preserve Saudi culture and enlighten citizens about their heritage, is part of the

program marking the selection of Riyadh as Cultural Capital of the Arab World for the year 2000. It also

coincides with the Kingdom's National Day, which is celebrated on September 23.
