The Ministry of Health reportd that between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 7 p.m. Thursday there were 9 new

cases of Rift Valley Fever, all in Jizan Province. The total now stands at 258, with 57 fatalities and 94

patients fully recovered.
The Ministry is urging all residents of Jizan Province to take preventive measures against the disease,

avoiding mosquito bites and direct contact with animals that may be infected.
