Prince Faisal Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz participated in a seminar entitled 'Leadership for

the New Century' organized in Washington DC yesterday by the Middle East Institute.  In his

paper he reviewed the historic background of the Gulf region and the impact of the Iraqi

invasion of Kuwait, and discussed aspects of relations between Iraq and the Gulf states. He

reiterated the Kingdom's concern for security and peace in the region, and underlined the

importance of Iraq implementing the UN Security Council resolutions. Following his

presentation, Prince Faisal Bin Salman answered questions from participants and from the

American media on developments in the Gulf and the Kingdom's constructive role there.
