Lebanon celebrates tenth anniversary of Taif Accord

Today Lebanon marked the tenth anniversary of the Taif Accord, which was brokered by Saudi Arabia under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz. This Accord was instrumental in setting up the national reconciliation document ending the Lebanese conflict and ensuring the return of security and stability to the country. Speakers at the celebration expressed thanks to all Arab countries, and especially Saudi Arabia, for their assistance, and called for full implementation of the Taif Accord in spirit as well as in word, declaring that the Accord was not the end of the road, but a path towards a better future.
