Private Sector Now Twenty Percent Saudi

Saudi manpower in the private sector has reached 20 percent as of October 21, 1998 (1/7/1419H). This percentage reflects implementation of compulsory gradual employment in private companies of not less than five percent Saudis each year in line with a royal decree in this context. The subsequent cabinet approval of this specified a number of jobs that could be occupied by Saudis, including receptionists, expediters, cashiers, and civil security guards.
