More Saudi relief arrives in Macedonia

A plane carrying foodstuff and other relief materials donated by Saudi citizens, arrived in Skopje yesterday evening, in line with the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz to help the refugees from Kosovo.  This plane is one of two, each carrying 40 tons; 120 tons of relief materials have already been delivered to Skopje, bringing the total to 200 tons.
President of the Saudi Red Crescent Society Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Suweilem met today with Macedonian President Kiro Gligorov, to whom he conveyed greetings from King Fahd and expressed appreciation of Macedonia's assistance to the Kosovar refugees. Dr. Al-Suweilem then toured the 'Stanko' camp where 50,000 refugees live in 4,000 tents.
Meanwhile, it was announced today that Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General, had donated the first of his two annual payments of SR 500,000 (U.S. $ 133,333) to the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO).
