Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard, arrived in Rome today on a state visit to Italy. He was welcomed at the airport by Italian Prime Minister Massimo d'Alema.  Crown Prince Abdullah's official delegation includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Al-Naimi, Minister of Industry and Electricity Dr. Hashim Yamani and Minister of Finance and National Economy Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf.

Saudi Ambassador to Italy Prince Muhammad Bin Nawaf Bin Abdul Aziz highlighted the importance of this visit, noting that Italy is a close commercial partner of the Kingdom, and pointing out its support of justice, peace, security and stability in the world and the Middle East in particular.
