Before leaving Rome yesterday, Crown Prince Abdullah paid a visit to the Islamic Center there. Speaking on the occasion, he underscored the significant role to be played by such centers in projecting the noble principles of Islam. He remarked that Islam is a religion for all people irrespective of race, does not tolerate extremism and terrorism, and is a way of life, not only a creed. For his part, Saudi Ambassador to Italy Prince Muhammad Bin Nawaf Bin Abdul Aziz reiterated the Kingdom's position that the future of the Middle East peace process depends totally on the fate of Al-Qu'ds [Jerusalem], Islam's third holiest city, and remarked that Crown Prince Abdullah has been urging world leaders to support this stance, for its restoration to Arab sovereignty.
