Saudi Olympic Committee plans for ninth Arab tournament

The Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee held a meeting yesterday under the chairmanship of its vice-president Prince Sultan Bin Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz, who is Vice-President of Youth Welfare.  Under discussion were the arrangements being made for the Kingdom's participation in the ninth Arab Tournament in Jordan next August, and it was decided that Saudi Arabia would take part in 13 categories, covering soccer, handball, athletics, swimming, table tennis, karate, wrestling, boxing, squash and weight-lifting.  Also reviewed was the Kingdom's participation in the second West Asian Games, to be held in Doha next November.
