Saudi Arabia has reported to the United Nations that the Joint Committee for the Relief of
Kosovar Refugees has started a new phase in its assistance, transporting refugees back to
their homeland. This assistance includes information concerning the location of landmines
planted by the withdrawing Serbian forces. The Committee is using 157 vehicles, plus
medical teams and ambulances, to transport some 22,000 refugees, who are being given
ready-made meals for the journey and food packages to last the first month of their return
home.
