The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs has issued a report on the Kingdom's municipal

water supply which serves 21 cities, representing 36 percent of the population.  Of note is

the fact that 23 percent of treated sewage water is now being utilized for irrigation

purposes.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water has published the first volume of a

botanical encyclopedia for Saudi Arabia. The 691-page illustrated book covers 1,380 types

of plants and flowers found throughout the Kingdom.
