The Ministry of Industry and Electricity has issued a number of resolutions lifting customs

duties on specific items of equipment, machinery and spare parts imported by 125 factories.

It also lifted custom duties on basic raw materials, packaging and wrapping materials for

30 factories. This step is to encourage investors in accordance with the system of

protection and encouragement of national industry.
