Saudi Arabia's national soccer team beat Kuwait 2-1 at the King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh in

the process of the qualifying games for the 2000 Olympics to be held in Sydney, Australia.

All three goals were scored in the first half, and both Saudi goals were by Talal

Al-Mishel. This win revives the Kingdom's hopes of qualifying for the Olympics after a

heavy loss to Qatar, 1-4, in Doha last week.
