President of Youth Welfare Prince Sultan Bin Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz was today formally elected
Chairman of the Arab Athletics Federation, by a unanimous vote of the board. He replaces
the late Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz, whose path he vowed to follow, realizing
his dreams for Arab sports and youth. One of his first tasks as Chairman will be to sign
the renewal of an agreement between the Federation and the European Olympic Board, some
time before the end of the year.
Meanwhile, in a statement following the 17th conference of the Arab Athletics Federation,
