Crown Prince Abdullah in Tunisia

Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul

Aziz held formal talks yesterday evening with Tunisian President Zein-el-Abdine Ben Ali.

They reviewed bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest including the Palestinian

problem, and ongoing efforts for clearing the air in the Arab world. These talks were

continued this morning in a private session with the Tunisian President, who also

accompanied the Crown Prince on a tour of the North Lake project, which was partially

funded by the Saudi Development Fund.

On his departure from Tunis after his two-day official visit, Crown Prince Abdullah sent a

cable of thanks to President Ben Ali in which he praised Tunisia's development and

prosperity, and its wise leadership that has enabled it to attain proficiency and wisdom,

ensuring the country's safety, prosperity and stability.
