King Fahd receives South African Vice President

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz received in Riyadh yesterday Vice President of South Africa Thabo Mbeki, who conveyed to him greetings from South African President Nelson Mandela. On his arrival yesterday on an official visit to the Kingdom, Vice-President Mbeki was welcomed at King Khaled International Airport by Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard, and Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General.

Later, Crown Prince Abdullah held talks with Vice-President Mbeki and his accompanying delegation. Also present were the Saudi Ministers of Defense and Aviation, Interior, Foreign Affairs, Industry and Electricity, and Commerce. Today, Prince Sultan met with Vice President Mbeki, and expressed his desire for more active cooperation between the two friendly countries in all spheres. The South African Vice-President also met today with Minister of Planning Dr. Abdulwahab Abdulsalam Attar, and discussed a number of issues on the international arena and their impact on the global economy.
