Kingdom declared free of Asian 'bird flu'

The Ministry of Agriculture and Water has declared that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is free of the disease known as 'bird flu' that has recently afflicted Hong Kong, parts of Asia, and Australia.   Saudi Arabia does not import any poultry or eggs from countries in South East Asia, nor would it import poultry from any country currently afflicted by the epidemic.   Quarantine measures have been taken, and all imports of animal and vegetable products are laboratory analyzed.  Any case of epidemic disease, violation of standards, or failure to present the required documents, is easily detected, and due process is taken against the violators.
