Jenadriyah Festival in 1999 will focus on centennial

Prince Meteb Ibn Abdullah, Deputy Commander of the National Guard, disclosed today in a press conference that next year's heritage and culture festival at Jenadriyah, the fourteenth, will be held as part of the centennial celebrations marking the 100th anniversary [in the Hijrah calendar] of the start of the unification of the Kingdom by Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud [in 1902], and said that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz has already issued directives in this respect, and that special panels have been set up for this purpose.

Prince Meteb, who is also vice chairman of the supreme organizing committee for the festival, said a new organizational plan has been worked out for the opening of this year's two-week-long festival, which will be inaugurated on Wednesday, March 4, on behalf of King Fahd, by Crown Prince Abdullah, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard.
