Foundation stone for new girls' school complex

Next Saturday, Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard will lay the foundation stone for the Academy City Girls' Colleges project in Riyadh.  This was announced today Dr. Ali Ibn Murshid Al-Murshid, general president for girls' education. The project, the first phase of which will be completed in 30 months at an estimated cost of more than SR 700 million, will comprise girls' colleges, housing for both students and faculty, and the headquarters of the General Presidency for Girls' Education.  Dr. Al-Murshid said the number of colleges in the Kingdom is now 68, with the total number of female students at 123,000, adding that there are now 5,000 female teachers who hold doctorate and masters degrees.
