Sacrificial meat project under way for 1418 Hajj

President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Ali today received officials in charge of hajj affairs from embassies and consulates of Islamic states to inform them of the noble goals of the Kingdom's project for sacrificial meat, which has completed fifteen successful years, due to the continued support extended by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz and his government, which has spent more than SR 481 million (U.S. $ 128.3 million) for the establishment of four automated slaughter houses. During this year's hajj season (1418 H) they are expected to process half a million sheep and about 10,000 camels and cattle.
