Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General, yesterday patronized the fiftieth anniversary of the Institute of Technical Studies at King Abdul Aziz airbase in Dhahran. Prince Sultan was accompanied by Prince Muhammad Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, and other princes. Speaking on the occasion, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force Lieutenant-General Abdul Al-Heneidi said more than 43 specialized technical courses are offered at the institute, covering operation, maintenance and support of planes as well as various military systems. Prince Sultan then laid the foundation stone for a new building to house supplies, as well as the headquarters of the 92nd squadron. Speaking on the occasion, Colonel Sultan Ibn Abdullah Ibn Musaed, the officer in charge of the Al-Yamama project, highlighted the great efforts being exerted by Prince Sultan in the development of the air forces.
