British Defense Secretary visits Kingdom

Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General, today welcomed at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh British Secretary of Defense George Robertson on a two-day official visit to the Kingdom.   In a press statement following a meeting held later in the day, Prince Sultan said that Saudi-British friendship dates back to the era of King Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud and British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill, and praised the existing cooperation between the two countries, reaffirming that they hold similar viewpoints on the latest agreement between Iraq and the United Nations and that the security council's resolutions should be adhered to not by one country alone, but by all.
