Saudi national soccer team prepares for 1998 World Cup

Prince Sultan Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, Vice-President for Youth Welfare, Chairman of the Committee for Teams and Players Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the Saudi Football Federation, announced today that the Saudi national soccer team will be headquartered at St. Maxim in the south of France in preparation for World Cup 1998.   The Saudi team plan a number of friendly matches, with Jamaica, Iceland, Namibia, England, Norway and Mexico.   Prince Sultan Ibn Fahd expressed confidence that they will make a good showing as representatives of the Arab and Muslim worlds, and praised the facilities that have been put at their disposal.  He went on to convey to the team greetings and congratulations on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha from Prince Faisal Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, President for Youth Welfare and Chairman of the Saudi Football Federation.
