Arab League deliberates on environmental issues

The Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers in Charge of Environment Affairs today concluded its deliberations at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo.   Chairman of the Bureau Prince Fahd Ibn Abdullah Ibn Muhammad Al-Saud, Assistant to the Minister for Civil Aviation at the Saudi Ministry of Defense and Aviation, reported that the meeting had formulated proper mechanisms to implement the projects planned, and discussed the issue of management of Arab coastal regions.  The most important issue, however, was the Arab Free Trade Zone, and special panels have been categorizing items for further review.  Prince Fahd called on industrial countries to keep their promise in regard to environmental issues.
